Frequency Properties

ASL Sign Frequency (M)	Mean subjective frequency rating for all participants (1 = very infrequent, 7 = very frequent)
Sign Frequency (Z)	Standardized subjective frequency rating (z) (as rated by both native and non-native signers)

Phonological Properties

Sign Type	Symmetry of the hands according to Battison's sign types
Selected Fingers	Fingers that are moving or foregrounded in the first morpheme of the sign; Thumb is ignored unless it is the only selected finger in the sign
Flexion	Aperture of the selected fingers of the dominant hand at sign onset
Major Location	General location of the dominant hand at sign onset
Minor Location	Specific location of the dominant hand at sign onset
Movement	Path movement of the first morpheme in the sign

Iconicity Properties

CTSL American Iconicity (M)	Mean iconicity rating of CTSL sign (as rated by American hearing non-signers)
CTSL American Iconicity (Z)	Standardized iconicity rating (z) of CTSL sign (as rated by American hearing non-signers)
CTSL Turkish Iconicity (M)	Mean iconicity rating of CTSL sign (as rated by Turkish hearing non-signers)

Lexical Properties

Lexical Class	The sign's lexical class (Adjective, Adverb, Name, Noun, Number, Verb, and Minor: Preposition, Pronoun, Conjunction)
Compound	"1" indicates that the sign is a compound. Compounds are signs that include more than one free morpheme, and morpheme boundaries are often indicated by a change in selected fingers or major location.
Initialized	"1" indicates that the handshape of the sign is the first letter of the English translation
Fingerspelled Loan Sign	"1" indicates that the sign includes more than one letter of the manual alphabet

Neighborhood Properties

CTSL Parameter-Based Neighborhood Density	Number of CTSL signs in CTSL-LEX that share all four of four phonological properties (movement, flexion, selected fingers, major location) with the sign
ASL Parameter-Based Neighborhood Density	Number of ASL signs in ASL-LEX that share all four of four phonological properties (movement, flexion, selected fingers, major location) with the sign

EntryID	An English word that uniquely identifies each entry in the data set
LemmaID	An English word that uniquely identifies each lemma collapsing across phonological and inflectional variants
